In the RC model shop you can find combustion aeroplanes, electric model aeroplanes, gliders, model aircraft accessories and spare parts. To the RC model shop:
•
Ready-made model aeroplane:
There are many complete kits of model aeroplanes, in different configurations and assembling takes 30 minutes to 20 hours. They are differentiated mainly by their configurations:
"ARF"; some parts still have to be assembled and individual components have to be joined together.
"RTF"; open the model kit, assemble the components and that’s it – finished.
•
Self assembly model aeroplane:
All parts are assembled using a blueprint, very time consuming and sometimes complicated.
When buying a model plane think carefully what drive you want:
• Model planes mostly use 2-stroke combustion engines; they are powerful and not too expensive.
• For larger model planes 4-stroke engines are also used. They have a higher torque and have an almost authentic sound, but are dearer than the 2-stroke combustion engines.
• Silent electric engines are also used in the RC plane.
• And RC gliders do not usually have an engine.
• The jewel in the crown in model plane engines is the radial engine, with a capacity of up to 400ccm and over 20 hp, they are real powerhouses, are extremely reliable and have a distinctive sound, but very expensive.

The remote control is very important for the RC plane. Beginners should ensure when purchasing a remote control that it has the so-called “trainer function” whereby a colleague or the trainer can quickly take control of the steering if a problem arises.
•The remote control model aircraft should have 4-7 channels to control the servos for each pitch elevator, rudder, rudder and gas.
• The remote control should be easy to use and not too small.
• At the beginning a simple remote control without microcomputer is sufficient, with increasing flying experience computer control should be considered, as it offers far more possibilities. Multiple model aircraft settings can be stored.
• The handheld remote control is very convenient, as every switch can be reached easily without major movements.
• For longer flights console control is more suitable and this can be strapped to the body with a belt and the ball of the thumbs rest comfortably on the control.
